Josh & Jeremiah

Josh and Jeremiah, the original members of the band, have been performing professionally together since 2002.

Who We Are

The Josh Cramoy Band officially began in the summer of 2002, with brothers Josh and Jeremiah Cramoy playing as an acoustic duo.  But the roots took hold years before as the brothers grew-up constantly singing along in the car and at home, particularly idolizing musicians such as Billy Joel, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and Buddy Holly, as well as Garth Brooks.  And Josh has never voluntarily stopped singing since then.  Originally from Connecticut, their family made the move to Lake Placid, New York in the summer of 2000.

The Josh Cramoy Band's first gig was at the Wobbly Moose Bar and Grill, owned by entertainer Nadine Imus, daughter of Radio Persona, Don Imus.  Nadine recognized their talent and nurtured their budding careers, employing them weekly throughout their first year.

With Josh on guitar, singing lead, and Jeremiah on bass or guitar, singing harmonies, more and more bookings came their way as word about The Josh Cramoy Band spread.  They were quickly noted by the Olympic Regional Development Authority and were signed to perform at world-class events such as the World Cup Bobsled Championships and the Alpine National Championships.  Josh also sang the National Anthem at both of these events.

After hearing the band in a local bar, DJ, Ernie Hough, of Lake Placid Radio frequently invited them to perform live on his radio program, introducing the greater Lake Placid area to Josh's original music.

Throughout 2003 the band's list of venues-played grew tremendously, expanding their reach to Saratoga Springs and Albany, New York as well as Burlington, Vermont.  In their second year, Josh and Jeremiah went into the studio to record five of Josh's songs.  The acoustic EP was titled Finding Your Way Back and included songs such as the light-hearted Come and Get Me and a song capturing the tragedy and horror of September 11, 2001, Mayday.

Within a few months however, Josh was anxious to return to the studio with a full band and re-record the 5 songs on  Finding Your Way Back along with 7 new songs.  The full-length album, titled Saving Grace, featured songs such as Diary of a Lovesick Fool, Our Song, and of course the title track, Saving Grace.  The Josh Cramoy Band released Saving Grace at Borders Books in June of 2003.

As demonstrated on Saving Grace, Josh is always striving never to be bound by genres.  His music spans a wide variety of styles from Rock to Folk to Country, Hard Rock to Pop Rock to Soft Rock, and Acoustic to Jazz Rock.

Believing that their musical talent offers them a meaningful way to help others, Josh and Jeremiah have also focused a lot of their musical energy towards non-profit events for organizations such as the AIDS Council of Northeastern New York, The Hole in the Woods Gang Camp, the Ronald McDonald House Charities and other community service organizations.

In 2004, Josh put together a full band for performances, adding another guitarist and a drummer. In addition to regular repeat appearances in the Adirondack- Burlington-Albany area, they have played venues spanning from Chicago to Virginia Beach to Connecticut.

They have also successfully begun the work of expanding into the College Market, joining the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA). They were quickly booked to open for Gavin DeGraw on his national tour appearance at the University of Massachusetts - Lowell, and shortly thereafter were selected to showcase on the Mainstage at NACA's 2005 Mid-Atlantic Festival.   In the spring of 2005 they opened for SNL's Jim Breuer at Ramapo College.   In 2007 Josh was selected for a Spotlight Showcase at NACA's Northeast Regional Conference in Hartford, CT. as a solo acoustic artist.  The Josh Cramoy Band has performed at more than 25 events at colleges such as Williams College, Colgate University, Clarkson University, Paul Smith's College, Drexel University, DeSales University, Dickinson College, Temple University, Alvernia College, Gettysburg College, MIT, St. Joseph's College and Virginia Wesleyan College.  The band has appeared twice for the summer outdoor concert series at the renowned Levitt Pavillion for the Performing Arts in Westport, Connecticut.

The band now includes Josh, Jeremiah, and drummer Pete Aven of Saratoga Springs, NY formerly with the nationally touring band Synergy.

Josh offers bookings as a solo acoustic artist as well.

A second full-length CD of Josh's latest original songs will be released in the winter of 2007/2008.
